Conditions We Treat

WA Neurosurgery provides specialist consultation and care for a range of general and complex neurosurgical conditions involving the brain, spine and nervous system.

Dr Snigdha Saha has a special interest in neuro oncology, including brain and spine tumours, as well as spinal degenerative conditions such as radiculopathy, myelopathy, spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis.

Neuro oncology, including brain and spine tumours

Dr Saha provides assessment and care for neuro oncology conditions, including brain and spine tumours. Patients are carefully assessed, with imaging and treatment options discussed in detail.

Endoscopic spine surgery

Endoscopic spine surgery is a minimally invasive approach used in selected spinal conditions. Dr Saha will assess each patient’s condition, imaging and symptoms to determine whether this type of treatment may be suitable.

Hydrocephalus

Hydrocephalus is a condition involving a build-up of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain. Specialist assessment is important to understand the cause, symptoms and appropriate treatment options.

Disc herniation

A disc herniation can place pressure on nearby nerves and may cause pain, weakness, numbness or other neurological symptoms. Treatment options depend on the location and severity of the condition.

Spinal canal stenosis, including cervical, thoracic and lumbar

Spinal canal stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal canal, which can affect the cervical, thoracic or lumbar spine. Symptoms may include pain, weakness, numbness, balance issues or reduced mobility.

Spondylolisthesis, including cervical, thoracic and lumbar

Spondylolisthesis occurs when one vertebra slips forward in relation to another. It can affect the cervical, thoracic or lumbar spine and may contribute to pain, nerve compression or spinal instability
